Description
Veneers are customised thin shells of porcelain bonded to the teeth to improve colour and shape. It is usually used for the front teeth and is used to close spaces between teeth, correct the shape of abnormal teeth as well as give a permanent whiteness for stained teeth that cannot be whitened by conventional laser whitening procedures. Thanks to their lifelike appearance and wide array of functions, veneers rank among the most trusted and popular procedures in cosmetic dentistry.
Process
The process of placing veneers is a very comfortable process. Usually during the first visit, we will take a look at your smile, your teeth structure and make sure that your gums are healthy and your teeth are decay-free. We will then take a mould of your teeth and customize the veneer design that suits your smile and facial structure.
On the second visit, we will present the design and request for your feedback and make the necessary changes. Once accepted, we will trim the front surface of the teeth under loupes with high degree of accuracy and precision. Another mould will be taken to send to the lab to manufacture the customised veneers. Colour and shade selection according to your preference will be done as well. At the same time, temporary veneers will be placed.
On the third visit, the veneers will be cemented on the selected teeth.
